Carrollton, Georgia – July 4th Independence Day holiday is a perfect reminder that Americans have the right and the freedom to vote! As millions of Americans prepare to celebrate July 4th Election Supervisor Greg Rigby reminds registered Carroll County voters early voting begins on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, for the July 26 Primary Runoff Election. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. Early voting closes on Friday, July 22nd at 5:00pm.
The July 26th Primary Runoff is open to eligible voters who voted Republican or Nonpartisan in the May 24, 2016 Primary Election and eligible voters who did not vote in the May 24, 2016 Primary Election may choose to vote in the Republican Primary Runoff.
Eligible voters who wish to vote absentee by mail will need to submit an absentee application to the Elections office no later than Wednesday, July 20 to ensure delivery of their ballot. Absentee by mail applications are available online at www.carrollcountyga.com or contact the elections office for an application to be mailed. Completed absentee by mail applications may be scanned and emailed to elections@carrollcountyga.com, faxed to 770-214-3594, mailed or personally delivered to the elections office. The last day for the elections office to issue an absentee by mail ballot is Friday, July 22nd at 3:00pm.
