PUBLIC COMMENTS

Public comments are an opportunity for the public to address the Commission with any issues or concerns they may have.  All remarks should be directed to the Chairman and not to individual commissioners, staff, or citizens in attendance.  Members of the public shall not make inappropriate or offensive comments.  Any individual who violates the rules of decorum may be removed from the meeting.  At this time the Board will not comment nor will the Board take any action on the comments...…. speakers are limited to 3 minutes.

The applicant or anyone speaking in favor of the application/request shall be allowed a TOTAL of ten minutes to present their request. Anyone opposed to the request shall also have a TOTAL of ten minutes to present their opposition. (If there are multiple speakers for or against an application, ask them to please be mindful to allow for others to speak, should they wish to do so.) Anyone speaking for or against the application shall be allowed a TOTAL of five minutes to speak in rebuttal.

RFP for Court House (Judicial Center)

Consideration of the issuance of three requests for proposals for new Court House for (1) finishing of the 5th floor and associated improvements, (2) information technology and audiovisual systems, and (3) security system and cameras; and authorize the Chairman or designee to take all necessary actions in connection therewith

Opioid and Fentanyl Awareness Campaign

Consideration of authorizing up to $60,000 from the National Distributor Opioid Settlement Fund for advertising and marketing with local media platforms for an Opioid and Fentanyl Awareness Campaign and to authorize the Chairman to take all actions in connection therewith.

BUSINESS SESSION

11.I.

Recreation Department-Muse Landscaping and Grading, Inc.

Approve quote of $33,250 from Muse Landscaping and Grading, Inc. for materials and installation of sod in additional areas to benefit the new multi-purpose recreation field, including erosion control and aesthetics. This cost will not result in an increase in the budget of $513,500 of SPLOST funds approved by the Board of Commissioners in July 2022 for this project because the lighting has been removed from the scope of the project.
