Carroll County Animal Services is committed to connecting people with their passion in order to further our mission to promote kindness, prevent cruelty and strengthen the human/animal bond in Carroll County.

VISION FOR OUR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

We believe that volunteers are vital to our success, providing unique knowledge and expertise as partners in our mission delivery, advocacy, and creating an engaged an inclusive community.  We will create a humane and healthy team where volunteers:

  • engage in meaningful work to improve the lives of animals.
  • explore and maximize their individual strengths.
  • receive training, mentorship and support as they work to further our mission and goals.

Volunteer Requirements:

Volunteers under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent of guardian at all times.

All volunteers are asked to commit to at least three 1-hour shifts per month for a minimum of three months.

STEP ONE: REGISTER AND WATCH THE VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION VIDEO.

STEP TWO: SCHEDULE A ONE-TO-ONE INTERVIEW

Once you have registered and watched our video set up a time with one of our staff members to go over options and where you best fit in the organization.

STEP THREE: COMPLETE POSITION-SPECIFIC TRAINING

After finalizing your schedule during your One-to-One Interview with a staff member, you're ready to get started!  Position specific training is hands-on and will give you the skills to safely complete your volunteer job responsibilities.  Do you want to learn more about the different volunteer positions?  Click HERE
