Animal Control
The mission of the Department of Animal Control is to promote the general safety of all the citizens of Carroll County. We do this through the enforcement of the state laws of Georgia and Carroll County’s local ordinances.

Behavioral Health
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities provides treatment and support services to people with mental illnesses and addictive diseases, and support to people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities. DBHDD serves people of all ages with the most severe and likely to be long-term conditions.

Clerk of Superior and State Courts
The Clerk’s offices are divided into three divisions: Superior Court, State Court and Real Estate. The Superior Court and State Court offices are charged with the recording and maintenance of all the filed documents for criminal and civil proceedings. The employees of the Clerk’s office also support every court proceeding with the presence of a Deputy Clerk. The Real Estate office is charged with recording deeds, UCCs, Liens, Plats, Trade Names, DD-214s, etc. This office also issues Notary Public Commissions and is a Passport Acceptance Agency for the U.S. Department of State.
