Animal Control
The mission of the Department of Animal Control is to promote the general safety of all the citizens of Carroll County. We do this through the enforcement of the state laws of Georgia and Carroll County’s local ordinances.

Elections
It is Our Mission to conduct with integrity fair and impartial elections and to follow the laws set forth by the Federal, State and Local governments. Additionally, it is Our Responsibility to register all eligible citizens to vote and to maintain accurate registration records.

Human Resources
This department handles various aspects of employment within the Carroll County Board of Commissioners, including applications, taxes, medical and dental benefits, retirement, and Workers’ Compensation.

Legal Information
The Legal Department provides preventive counseling to the Carroll County Board of Commissioners, its chairman, the constitutional officers, the departments and associated boards and agencies.

Parks
Carroll County Parks currently manages John Tanner Park and McIntosh Reserve. Plans for additional parks are underway for Little Tallapoosa, Moore’s Bridge, Blackjack Mountain and Snake Creek.

Property & Tax Assessment
Questions about property appraisal and assessment in Carroll County are not uncommon. We are happy to provide this powerful new information source. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service to the taxpayers and citizens of Carroll County. Our office hours are 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday.

Public Works, Roads and Solid Waste
This department provides maintenance on county roadways and rights-of-way. This involves the upkeep of paved roads and well as the construction and/or paving of dirt roads. Vegetation control on rights-of-way, traffic signs and pothole patching are also included in daily maintenance procedures.
