Public Works, Roads and Solid Waste
This department provides maintenance on county roadways and rights-of-way. This involves the upkeep of paved roads and well as the construction and/or paving of dirt roads. Vegetation control on rights-of-way, traffic signs and pothole patching are also included in daily maintenance procedures.

Our department has civilian employees and correctional officers who work in conjunction with the inmates housed in the Carroll County Prison. Need a driveway culvert installed? Carroll County Public Works will install a driveway culvert at the property owner's expense. Carroll County charges for materials only. There is no charge for labor. Solid Waste
