Weddings
Weddings are primarily held at the Probate Court located in the main Court house. The Probate Court would have all the necessary forms and information concerning marriage, including the marriage license. They can be contacted at (770)830-5840, Ext. 2227.
If you are unable to reach the Probate Judge to marry, then you may contact the Magistrate Court. The Magistrate Court will perform weddings when the Probate Court cannot due to scheduling.
Weddings are by appointment only and you would need to call the Mediation Center and speak with Mrs. Elmira Barrow (770)830-5993 to make an appointment with our Chief Magistrate Judge Alton P. Johnson
There is no charge for weddings held at the Magistrate Court.
