Carrollton native Trent North, 40, is serving his fourth term as Commissioner. North is Principal of Carrollton Middle School North and holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of West Georgia, a master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia, and an EdS degree from Lincoln Memorial University. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Chairman of the West Carrollton Enterprise Zone, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Carrollton's Men Home, a member of the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce, a member of Rotary, a Charter member of B.E.S.T. (Black Men Encouraging Success Today), and a member of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). He is a member of the Coweta Judicial Circuit Public Defender Selection Panel. He serves on the Real Estate Foundation Board of the University of West Georgia and the University of West Georgia Foundation Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Tanner Medical Foundation Board of Trustees.
