Carrollton native Trent North, 39, is serving his fourth term as Commissioner. Principal of Carrollton Middle School North holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, both from the State University of West Georgia, and an EdS degree from Lincoln Memorial University. He is chairman of the Board of Directors for the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Chairman of the West Carrollton Enterprise Zone, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Carrollton’s Men Home, member of the Board of Directors for CB&T (Citizen Bank and Trust of West Georgia), member of the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce, member of the Board of Directors for LIFT (Literacy is For Today and Tomorrow), member of Rotary, a Charter member of B.E.S.T. (Black Men Encouraging Success Today), member of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), member of the Coweta Judicial Circuit Public Defender Selection Panel, and serves on the Real Estate Foundation Board of the University of West Georgia.
