All remarks should be directed to the Chairman and not to individual commissioners, staff, or citizens in attendance. Members of the public shall not make inappropriate or offensive comments. Lying in Land Lot 164 of the 6th District, Parcel #148-0494, Located at 918 W 78 Hwy, Villa Rica. Owner/Applicant: Brenda Milam (Property is located in Commission District 3)
Z-23-04-02: Request to Rezone approximately 5 acres from Commercial to Agriculture for livestock. Lying in Land Lot 108 of the 5th District, Parcel #155-0222, Located at 3015 E Hwy 166. Owner/Applicant: Alvaro Garcia (Property is located in Commission District 5)
Items under this action were discussed at the public Work Session on Thursday, April 27, 2023 (now available for view on www.carrollcountyga.com) and will be presented for consideration as a single item. Only one vote will be taken.
Judge Thomas Parmer of Juvenile Court presented for approval the acceptance of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act Grant with the Department of Health Service in the amount of $199,937.00 for the Family Treatment Court program to diminish the number of infants born with prenatal drug exposure and to create a Case Manager position to ensure plans of safe care are in place; to agree to the grant terms and conditions, and to authorize the Chairman and/or Judge Thomas E. Parmer to take all actions necessary in connection therewith
Hubert Sparks, Chief Tax Appraiser presented for consideration a Contract between Carroll County, Georgia and GMASS, Inc. for Appraisal Services for Commercial and Industrial Properties and to authorize the Chairman to finalize the terms of the Agreement and to execute the Agreement
Commissioner Clint Chance recommended reappointing Jerry Doyal, Commissioner Steve Fuller recommended appointing Jeffrey Vance, and Commissioner Danny Bailey recommended reappointing Jamie Beam to the Planning and Zoning Commission. There was a consensus from the Board to accept these appointments and add this item to the consent agenda for the May 2, 2023 BOC meeting.
