With broadband and internet connectivity becoming modern necessities especially in rural areas, Carroll County became a Georgia Broadband Ready community in 2021. This designation by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs demonstrates that the county has identified broadband as an essential infrastructure in furthering the county’s development and is actively seeking ways to expand this needed infrastructure to benefit the residents and businesses.
