Park Rules and Regulations
Park Pass- A daily or annual parking pass is required for ALL vehicles and is not included with reservation.
Hours: Gates close at 8:00 pm and open at 8:00 am. Visitors must leave the park by 8:00 pm.
Park staff reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the park at any time for any reason. No refund will be given.
Fishing- The Park offers year-round fishing. Lakes are stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. Persons age 16 and older must have a valid resident/non-resident fishing license. Minnows are not allowed as bait. No fishing allowed after 10:00 pm.
Swimming- The park has one of the largest sand beaches in Georgia. The beach is open year-round and is free of charge. No lifeguards provided; swim at your own risk. Metal detecting is NOT allowed.
Boating- Fishing boats and pedal boats are available for rent at the park office. Check with the park staff for age restrictions. Private boats with electric motors are allowed during daylight hours. Boats must comply with Georgia Boating Safety Law.
Miniature Golf- An 18-hole course is open year-round.
Hiking- The Park’s upper lake is encircled by a one-mile exercise/walking trail. A short nature trail is located at the northwest end of the upper lake. There is also a ¾ mile foot trail encircling the lower lake.
Picnicking- There are numerous picnic sites and picnic shelters with grills, an air-conditioned and heated group shelter (with cooking facilities) for up to 75 people, and a screened picnic shelter (for up to 50 people) with nearby grills.
Group Lodge- A fully equipped lodge with a capacity for 40 offers overnight lodging for organized groups.
Noise Levels- NO PA SYSTEMS, NO DJs, & NO LIVE BANDS ALLOWED. Noise levels must be contained to the area that you have reserved ONLY. If any complaints of noise levels are made, you will be asked to turn music OFF completely. Failure to do so will result in you forfeiting your reserved area, and you will be asked to leave premises. Music content MUST remain family-friendly without vulgar language or explicit content. NO REFUNDS.
Motor Vehicles- Park roads are public roads. All vehicles are subject to license safety requirements and regulations of the Georgia Department of Public Safety. ATVs and golf carts are not allowed.
Camping Information
Saving Sites: Campsites may not be held for later arrival.
Rented Sites: A rented site must obtain a vehicle, tent, or camping equipment to be considered occupied.
Trash: All trash must be taken to the dumpster.
Fires are to be confined to fire rings only.
Dishwashing is prohibited at drinking faucets or at comfort stations. Dump dishwater at designated locations throughout the campground.
Quiet Hour is 10:00 pm. At that time, all noise from campers, TVs, radios, and vehicles must be kept down.
Campers Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Six-person maximum per site.
Two tents and/or one RV and one tent per site.
Length of Stay is limited to 5 days per one month period for tents, 14 days for RVs.
Firewood Collection is limited to fallen, dead timber.
Check-Out time is 1:00 pm for campsites.
